Being Anti-Racist: A Critical Way to Support Children of Color in Foster Care and Adoption

Transracial parents, service providers, educators, and others must lean into their personal discomfort and learn to have conversations about race and institutional racism, and work at becoming an anti-racist. Each of us must be committed to taking action on behalf of children of color to ensure not just their safety, but their well-being. For children in foster care and adoption, developing a strong and positive identity is an essential component of well-being.
