All families experience triumphs and challenges, and families formed through adoption tend to encounter unique challenges as they grow and change. The REACH program is staffed by Master’s level adoption social workers who are trained and familiar with adoption issues. We offer crisis intervention and adoption support counseling free of charge for families who adopt through the Kern County Department of Human Services and live in Kern County. Families are also eligible to receive in-home case management services as needed. Participants may include adoptive parents and children, as well as extended family members.
