Support groups are facilitated by adoption competent professionals and are held monthly. Support groups are designed for new and experienced adoptive parents. Topics are generated by parents and focus on developing specialized parenting skills. For a full list of support group locations and times, please see the detailed schedule below. Childcare and training hours are available.
Additionally, each month REACH highlights community based trainings of interest to foster and adoptive parents. Bakersfield College Foster and Kinship Care Education Program offers training, special events and resources (view the left navigation menu for a complete list of offerings.)
