Birthparents on Their Minds
Adolescents’ thoughts and questions may become more intense because identity formation is one of the main developmental tasks of adolescence. Teens try to figure out who they are by comparing themselves- their values and beliefs, strengths/challenges, interests/talents- to their parents.
